Tongue Tided
When Nash was born we noticed the skin under his tongue came all the way to the end and had trouble sucking his pacifier and bottle. This is called tongue tided. The Dr told us the skin could stretch out that we would watch it and possibly get it clipped. Today was that day the skin was still very tight and the Dr was concerned if we didn't get it clipped it could effective his speech and eating as he got older. The procedure was an in office procedure. The applied some novacain to numb the area and 2 nurses held him down one had his head the other his body. He screamed and cried SO loud and hard,it broke my heart.a quick snip and it was over,it bled for about 10 mins.He has been in some pain and had cried on and off all afternoon. We are giving him tylenol to help the pain. Pray with us it heals quickly and the pain goes away.It could hurt him for a few days.It was funny one point today he was moving his tongue around like what is this in my mouth. It may take some getting use to : )
